Is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Political Science from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Literature at the University of Nairobi. He worked as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Arts, University of Nairobi. He has also been exposed to the workings and operations of publishing during a stint at the Kenya Literature Bureau. Odongo is an enthusiast of language use, literary criticism and cultural studies. He has contributed opinion and literary articles to various newspapers in Kenya, including the Daily Nation, Saturday Nation, Sunday Nation, Business Daily and The Standard. He has edited and proofread theses, journal articles, reports and magazines for various individuals and organisations. He has also written speeches for presentation at national and international fora. He is presently engaged in editing, proofreading and translation services at the Kenya National Assembly. His current research interests include literary and cultural studies, language use, editing and proofreading, governance, and policy formulation.
